You know when a couples pictures are just so lovely that you don’t feel the need to start a blog post with words, because you just want people to see how lovely and radiant they are? Well this is one of those times! Adrian and Michelle (or “Polly” as she is affectionately to her beloved husband), made their vows to one another on a late autumn afternoon at the Granger Bay Hotel School in Cape Town. Not only did this special day mark their coming together as husband and wife, but it marked their new start as a family with their beautiful little girl, Isabella. I don’t think anyone was able to help but hold back a tear or two when Adrian asked Issy to join him and her mom at the alter so he could make a special promise to her too. I know I was suffering from a serious case of the feels at this point! Their grey, blue and green colour scheme was highlighted by the magnificent sunset we managed to immerse ourselves in for their couple shoot. It has to be said that it’s incredibly rare as a wedding photographer, to be afforded the kind of fiery light that we were on this beautiful evening. I’m pretty sure the whole of creation was smiling down on these wonderfully down-to-earth people, and the sunset was natures way of showing it. Adrian, Michelle and Issy … you guys were the best possible note on which to end my South African wedding season, and your collective personalities a tonic for me to be around. Thank you so very very much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, and sharing this glorious day with me. All my love and best wishes for your future together, Claire xxx
