This is the third time that Alton and Shivvon are appearing on my website, and it’s with a heavy heart that I have to accept that this will be their last blog post for a little while. Documenting this season in their shared life’s story has brought me more joy than I can explain … their engagement, catholic wedding ceremony and now this, the culmination of months of planning and excitement. Their lovingly planned wedding reception held at the beautiful Knorhoek wine estate in Stellenbosch. True to the natures of these two extraordinary people, the soft pink and white decor created a gentle atmosphere, while the intimate crowd of only their very closest friends and family brought an unrestrained jubilance to their celebration. This wedding was a spectacular start to the new chapter that is their marriage (Shivvon has already let me know that she highly recommends becoming a wife), and I consider myself blessed to have shared some part of this experience with them. I already know that I’m going to miss Shivvy’s bubbly and excited emails, and Alton’s calm, gentle and easy-going way of reacting to being photographed, but all the moments I’ve shared with them have now become happy memories instead. Alton, Shivvon … I can’t thank you enough for inviting me on this adventure with you. Meeting and knowing you both has been a blessing and a joy.
