I’d be doing this wedding, and the whole experience surrounding it a disservice if I said I knew how to put it into words. I have known the Colenbrander family my entire life, so when Dani contacted me a little over a year ago, asking if I would photographer her nuptials with Rob, I jumped at the chance! Their charming wedding venue was in Sutton Forrest in the Southern Highlands below Sydney. Family and friends from around the world united here to share in the festivities, and celebrate the couple (who were officially married a year before in Gibraltar, but had held off on the reception aspect until now). This beautiful little berry farm was the perfect spot for a garden wedding on a summers afternoon. The drinks and a harvest table under weeping willows were ever so inviting, and the excitement of everyone to be seeing one another was irresistibly joyful. I’m overwhelmed by the places my career takes me, and the nature of it that allows me to become closer to the people I work with. I tell people often that my job consists entirely of spending the happiest days of peoples lives with them. As if that isn’t blessing enough, I’m also afforded the chance to travel to places I’ve never been to, do so. Rob and Dani, I can’t thank you enough for making me a part of this adventure of yours. You two are such a beautiful couple and seeing your interactions and care for one another is truly, a joy to behold. I’m very grateful to have been able to photograph your wedding day, and see all of your loved ones. This memory will be one that I cherish for years to come, and I hope these images will help you keep track of your memories forever too! All my love, Claire xxx
