This elegant, oceanside wedding holds an incredibly special place in my heart. Besides being overwhelmed by the view as I arrived at the exclusive Tintswalo Atlantic, and the literal pretty of every aspect of Shane and Anne’s wedding day, it was also about the personal love that I have for this couple. Anne and my sister have been friends since school, and I can still remember helping them with their hair before High School dances. Seeing Anne marry Shane with Chapman’s Peak in the background, was like seeing my other little sister become the wife to a man who clearly loves her with every fibre of his being. With both of them working in the nautical field, they were sure to make their love for the ocean apparent in a million ways, big and small, throughout the day. This theme was even carried out in their matching sets of clear blue eyes! (I’m convinced they planned it that way). And! Coincidence on coincidence, they share a birthday! Can you believe it? Having their wedding a day before their combined birthday, was the perfect way to dance themselves into a new and exciting year of their lives, as husband and wife. What better gift could one receive?! As I sit writing this, I could go on and on about the many memories of this day that still feel so fresh in my mind. Instead waxing lyrical though, I reckon I’ll just let you all get down to the real reason you’re here – to enjoy the pictures! Shane, Anne … you two made my heart swell with joy and your images almost as much too. Your love for one another is tangible and infectious and beautiful to see, and I so hope your wedding photography will be the truest reflection of that. I send you both such love and hugs across whichever ocean you might be traveling, and look forward to seeing you home in Cape Town again soon! All my love, Claire xxx
