It has to be said … three cheers, and hats off to the Nelson Family! There has just got to be some kind of super power in play when two loving parents are successfully raising four, multi-talented, vastly scheduled and very unique and precious human beings as successfully as what Hugo and Karen are. I spent such a delightful afternoon with this family at their newly renovated home in Rondebosch. The two older siblings were so polite and helpful in taming their younger brother and sister, and coaxing them gently into being photographed. The little ones in turn, kept us all entertained with their boundless energy and playful antics. This family of six not only made beautiful portraits, but painted me one of people who are really and truly getting it right. Their love and respect for one another is tangible, and such a true portrayal of what can be accomplished when people take the time to do things right. Thank you for inviting me into your home and lives Hugo and Karen, I was blessed  through my afternoon with you and I hope these pictures will bring you great joy when they join the ones already framed on your landing upstairs.
