And then folks, the brand new wedding season in Cape Town was upon us! Alex and Connie had prepared over many months for their special day in August (knowing that they were more likely than not to have a wintery wedding), and in true Capetonian style the sun shone down on their festivities even though every day leading up to that Saturday had poured with rain! I truly loved every moment of this special wedding, having known the couple for quite some time already, and also being in a beautiful venue a mere stones throw from the house that I grew up in! (as well as an even shorter stones throw away from the home that Connie herself grew up in). Every aspect of Alex and Connie’s day was carefully planned to be perfectly them, and their individual personalities as well as the one they’ve developed as a couple were portrayed from beginning to end. This day rejuvenated and re-inspired me for the weddings that lie ahead over the next few months, and I am so grateful to you, Alex and Connie, for inviting me along on this thrilling ride with you and trusting me to document your unforgettable day. I wish the two of you every happiness possible in your lives together and I hope that you will continue to smile, laugh and radiate the joy you both did on this day for all your future days.
