Magical, mysterious Maatjiesfontein. A little Karoo town, so small that many miss it when driving along the N1 highway. A town steeped in history, ghost stories, tales of times long ago, and on this particular weekend? The location of Brendan and Ginny’s unforgettable wedding! Surrounded by the people they love most, and some pretty spectacular landscapes, these two sweethearts committed their lives to one another. Everything played to their love of this scenery. Neutrals, fynbos and the Maatjies heritage. Family and guests enjoyed having the run of this quaint village, and moved happily between the pink church where they said their vows, and the transport museum where the party took place. Their beautiful stationary was even based on a painting by the brides talented sister! Depicting a flame lilly (for Ginny’s Zimbabwean homeland) and a protea to represent Brendan, both happily flourishing under a starry Maatjiesfontein night sky! This unforgettable weekend wedding was an unrivalled experience! Brendan, and Ginny … I wish you two every happiness under the sun! May your life together be as full of joy as this special day was! All my love, Claire xxx
