Daniel and Connie bring life and enthusiasm with them, wherever they go. From the moment we began sharing emails, to the day I finally met them on a long weekend trip to Cape Town, they felt like people I’ve already known for many years. I was out of my skin excited when they told me their idea for part two of their beach engagement shoot (part one will be published soon). They wanted a glamorous theme, but for it to be a kind of “dawn after the party” type vibe. And so, they dressed up in their finery, grabbed a bottle of bubbles and nibbled on half cold McDonalds burgers while strolling down Camps Bay Beach. They stood firm when the wind pumped and the sand stung their skin (which is probably a strength developed from their mutual Namibian heritage) and they weren’t afraid to freeze in the ocean for the sake of a good photograph (which will be useful, since they’re getting married in a Scottish Castle). They made a massive mistake showing me how willing and good-natured they are in the face of all these elements, so now I know to make sure they out-perform themselves on their wedding day! Wedding dress atop a castle spire you say? Well I think I just might thank you;) I hope you’ll enjoy these photographs as much as I enjoyed this afternoon on the beach taking them. You two are rockstars, and October can’t come quickly enough! All my love, Claire xxx P.S. A massive thank you to my assistant Mia for stepping in to go burger shopping, and for battling the reflector in the crazy wind!
