When one reads fairytales about princesses and castles and magical far away places, I never even dared to dream I’d experience anything like those stories in reality. Yet here we were, living that exact fantasy with Daniel and Connie as they promised themselves to one another in romantic Scotland. Their wedding was set in their dream venue, at Drumtochty Castle. A a neo-gothic style castellated mansion, where they were surrounded by nothing but natural beauty, ancient architecture and the ones they love most. This trip into the United Kingdom was extra special for me, as it was my first visit to that part of the world. I’ll never see Autumn colours or read Harry Potter again without immediately being transported back here. To this place. To these people. To the way the rooms felt and the forests sounded and the way Daniel and Connie are the epitome of “in love” and in tune with one another. I was astounded by their enthusiasm for everything surrounding this day, and overwhelmed to be welcomed by their kind families the way I was. Every wedding I shoot holds a special place in my heart, and my goodness … when you see the images in this blog post, you’ll see why I could never compare this place or event to anything else. Daniel, Connie and everyone I was lucky enough to meet here, I’m sending you all the love in the world as I write this, and wishing us all back here to do it again and again! All my love, Claire xxx
