I’m still smiling as I think of Dave and Ashton’s engagement shoot last month. This was one of those days, and these were two of those people who highlight all the good things in this life. Golden sun haloes and warm breezes off the ocean. Laughter and anticipation for more of the good things to come (their wedding was a few days later). Having been engaged for close on two years already by this point (to allow guests to plan for an international wedding), their engagement shoot was like a mini-reboot on the excitement of their actual engagement! I had such fun watching as they grew more comfortable being photographed, and got excited seeing how their pictures were unfolding and showing off these majestic landscapes. And BONUS! I had some time alone with them so we could get to know one another a little better before their big day. I’m always so happy to get to know my clients when they aren’t surrounded by the pressures of the many things going on at their actual wedding … these couple shoots are some of my favourite times! Dave and Ashton, I would honestly have loved to show you these finalised pictures over a glass of bubbly, but since you’re back in the States I’ll send you both a cyber hug and lots of love for letting me share this afternoon with you!
