For the first time in my career I find myself almost wishing I had been a cinematographer instead of a photographer as I captured the magic of Jared and Toni-Lee’s wedding. Don’t get me wrong, I love their pictures and I loved every moment of the time I spent with them that gusty Saturday a month back. The thing is though … in my head? Their wedding was a music video set to John Legend’s song, “All of me”. I hear this song again and again on the radio, and invariably, I’ll remember the fact that it was the only sound in an otherwise silent church as both the bride and groom shed tears at their first sight of one another. From my initial email with Toni-Lee, I knew that she and Jared had a marriage ahead of them that had everything to do with their having a deep desire to share a lifetime together, and precious little to do with the fuss of a wedding. Through every moment of their big day, their attention remained on this binding factor and the fuss and details paled in comparison to the intangible love that surrounded their moments together. Be that as it may, fuss and details were abundant and I was the lucky girl who got to document it all! Jared and Toni, I was speechless that day, I still am. May you be blessed every moment of every day you will spend together as husband and wife and better than that, best friends. All my love (and a covert tear of happiness), Claire xxx
