Jarkko and Megan’s botanical extravaganza was a wedding day to bring all previous idea’s of the relaxed yet stylish wedding to it’s knee’s! Not a single detail was overlooked in this couple’s planning, and the balmy March weather we expect from Cape Town played it’s part brilliantly. Old Mac Daddy in the Elgin Valley, was a treat as always and the perfect setting for an unforgettable day. South African born Megan and Finnish Jarkko met in Australia where they both live, and as you can imagine, their guests were a most fascinating melting pot of cultures, languages and traditions! The language barrier was a minor technicality (very quickly overcome with the help of the couple’s bilingual “phrase card” I might add) and the joy everyone felt to be sharing in this magical day was the overriding force behind everything. I could spend hours waxing lyrical about the hand drawn stationary, the whimsical setup of the ceremony area, the rustic arch and the magnificent botanically inspired decor, but honestly? I’m pretty sure that by looking at these images you’ll already understand on a heart level what I would have said anyway, so without further ado … please enjoy these images with the tremendous couple, who captured my heart in the space of a single day. Jarkko and Megs, your warmth and genuine natures are so beautiful to experience and I can tell that everyone around you feels that way too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me on this adventure with you and for being a light and example to me of true life, true love and a little bit of the magic we’re allowed to create for ourselves! All my love and an abundance of love, Claire xxx
