The past two months have been action packed indeed. Besides the normal festivities over December, I’ve been busy shooting no less than thirteen weddings since November! And can I just say? Marvelling and revelling in the amount of extraordinary days that I’ve been lucky enough to capture. After what already feels like an eternity of waiting, I’m finally blogging J.P. and Julia’s wedding! Something I’ve been aching to do since I set foot into the Molenvliet Wedding Venue, a few windy Thursday’s ago. I met J.P. a couple of years back when he was the best man at his cousins wedding, and was so touched to be invited to share in his own nuptials to his vibrant bride, Julia. Surrounded by a sterling team of service providers, Jules’ fairytale day came to life on this pristine wine estate. Local and international friends and family were treated to some of the finest views, flowers and foods that Cape Town has to offer. Even the seasonal winds which thrashed through the air (and incidentally, stole the arch from the ceremony area before the guests had even arrived) did precious little to alter the glowing smiles you’ll see on every face throughout this blog post! I’ve loved participating in this wedding so very much, that I’m almost sad to release the images to social media and know that my role is nearly over. I’m sure that anyone who knows J.P. and Jules will know how contagious their personalities and love for life are, and understand my mixed emotions. That being said, I can’t wait a second longer to encourage you to go and peruse the imagery from this oh-so-special, clap-your-hands-with-glee, total home run of a wedding! J.P. and Jules – wherever in the world you guys are right now, I hope this will bring your memories back and delight you afresh! Thank you for your patience, and the absolute privilege of having me along on this ride with you. All my love, Claire xxx
