Well good morning lovely people of the internet! You’ll probably find a few of the faces in this latest post to be rather familiar by now, owing to the slightly longer than normal journey I was privileged to walk with Luke and Belen. Just one week after their American wedding (you can view that post here), we all flew on to South Africa to celebrate with Luke’s relatives who couldn’t make it out for the big party. I doubt Fisherhaven has ever seen such festivities as they did on this pretty winters afternoon! Once again these two lovely people spent the day surrounded by adoring family members and a beautiful setting. Everyone (especially Luke’s grandparents) pitched in with decor. His aunt made their beautiful cake herself, and Luke’s Grandfather moved us all by performing their ring ceremony (a simple vow renewal) himself. We followed it up with some pictures of the happy couple alone, and, full disclosure? This ended up being one of my all time favourite couple shoots (and believe you me, I’ve done a few in my time). East, West, the lighting in South Africa is the best! Am I right? Completely unbiased, I assure you! I don’t think the Leonard’s could have asked for a more different or memorable closing of the wedding chapter in their journey together as husband and wife. I most certainly could not have hoped for a more overwhelming, fulfilling and life changing experience with a couple, and for the end of my most recent wedding season. Luke, Belen … I hope you’ll find the finance somewhere to stick to our plot of renewing your vows annually in a different country! I’m counting on this not being our last memory together, and I look forward to every moment of the bright, glorious future that awaits the two of you! Sending both of you and all your wonderful family members my love, Claire xxx
