To use any common adjective to describe Lyle and Megan’s wedding – beautiful, exquisite, perfection – would be the understatement of the century. It’s days like this that make photography necessary, because honestly? How would you put any of this into words. All the many months ahead of this special day I knew we were in for a treat, and after meeting the couple for their engagement shoot (which you can view here) I knew that besides a magnificent party, I was looking forward to a day of celebrating two of the loveliest, most unique humans around. I could wax lyrical about their choice of outfits, or the decor and floral selections which were so beautifully curated. The towering cheese cake served during pre-drinks (South Africans know how its done), or the vista’s surrounding the venue. The two things I feel I have to write about though, are Megan’s grandparents, and the part they played in the day. Megan’s grandfather shared a family tradition with guests by playing grace on his harmonica, and her grandmother led the late night dance of the Macarena (and did a better job of it than I can I might add!). I can only imagine what a joy it was to have these two, into their 90’s, present and pulling out the moves on this special day! I couldn’t leave it up to chance that this would be apparent from the pictures;) Lastly, I’d like to say that the team that planned, coordinated and executed this day was unsurpassed. Each and every service provider pushed their creativity to the limits to make Lyle and Megan’s wedding dreams become a reality. I think we can all agree that it was successful beyond anything we all could have hoped! I’m honored, and exhilarated and actually far to excited to try and describe any more of this wedding ahead of you seeing the pictures, so without further ado, please enjoy this feast for the eyes and share in a little piece of Mr and Mrs Simpson’s extraordinary day! I’m sending such love to you two and hope that you’ll enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed creating it! xxx
