It’s hard to write a blog post like this one. Even several months later, I’m still lost for words when I think about the morning of Rabih and Cathy’s elopement. Cathy contacted me a while back and told me that she and her fiancé Rabih wanted their wedding to be unique to them. Distraction free. We met on the morning of the 11th of November at Cape Point National Park. With just their minster, the couple, myself and Adele, we climbed to their favourite viewing point and witnessed them pledge their lives to one another. I can still recall the peaceful beauty of these two people saying their vows atop the cliff face on that wind free and summery day. It’s a moment I won’t forget as long as I live, and I hope these images can convey even an ounce of what that moment felt like! But the celebration was far from over! Three months later Rabih and Cathy returned from their home in Dubai, to celebrate their marriage with their closest friends and family. This time at the gorgeous Prima Villa in Camps Bay. After months of waiting, I’m finally able to create a blog post combining both their ceremony, and reception. What a thrill to show off these pictures and gush at my joy that Rabih and Cathy included me in this incredible adventure with them. I hope you’ll all feel that you shared a part of this larger than life experience by peering through their pictures today too! Rabih, Cathy … I’m going to miss the prospect of knowing I have another shoot planned with you. I very much hope that we’ll all reunite again one day to capture many more special moments in your married life together! All my love, Claire xxx
