This darling little boy and his spectacular parents have had me wrapped around their fingers for quite some time now. Wolhuter and Zuzara first contacted me a few years back when they wanted me to photograph their wedding (view those images here). Last year, I received the happy news that they were expecting a new addition to their family, and thrilled me with their invite to take some maternity photo’s! (View here). Then, most exciting of all, was the announcement that their son, Salvatore Valko had at long last joined us, and was (in his mothers words) ready for his close up! I spent hours in their lovely home just watching as these new parents went through their new routines. Feed breaks, playtime, and soothing strolls through the garden. I joined them for all of these, and was allowed the privilege of being the fly on the wall, capturing and absorbing these peaceful moments. I’m astonished every time I’m with Wolhuter and Zuzara. They both have such a graceful and comfortable way of looking at the world and handling life. They seem to have so much figured out and an innate ability to process what they haven’t yet figured out. Salvatore is one lucky little boy to be growing up with the Daddy and Mommy he’s been gifted to, and the life ahead of him promises to but nothing short of extraordinary! For now though, Wol and Zuz, keep enjoying the morning lie in’s with all three of you in the bed. The moments of reading Winnie The Pooh, to a life experiencing AA Milne for the first time.
