Man, oh man am I excited to be sharing this beautiful maternity session with you today! In fact, I’ve been excited to share it since long before the pictures were even taken – since the day Zuzara invited me to capture this new season in hers and Wollie’s lives. Having had these two in front of my lens a few years back at their wedding (click here to see those photo’s), I knew I’d be in for a treat. A festival of pretty if you will! We sent countless emails back and forth, planning locations and theme’s, only to realise later that their own farm was the perfect setting. Not to mention somewhere we’d have access to her beautiful horse, Mumu. These two gorgeous humans (and what they like to refer to as “the belly creature”) are utterly down to earth and relaxed about most of life. When I arrived, a very pregnant Zuzara was happily standing in the sun atop a crate, plaiting Mumu’s hair and cleaning her up for her big photographic debut! Wollie, in between working, raising livestock and making alterations to their home ahead of their little boys arrival, calmly handled props and catered to every need Zuzara and I had concerning the aesthetics of the shoot. Of course we couldn’t have pulled any of this of without the help of Mia (who assisted me), and Nicole (who appeased Mumu). Guys … this shoot is one of my favourite memories and afternoons in the last while and I can’t thank you enough for having us over to do it for you. Wol and Zuzara, you’re just two of the best kind of people out there and I look forward to many more special occasions with you, and cups of tea in the kitchen post picture taking. I can’t wait to meet your little boy next month. Thank you for being as fabulous as you are, and enjoy your pretty, pretty pictures! Lots of love, Claire xxx
Oh Claire!!! What can I say? So lovely, perfect light, gorgeous dust motes and sun spangled miggies…. I am so happy! The sheep… My Mumu child being all orange and whatnot, the belly creature all round and well, words and stuff!!!
